Picaflor House - Peru

Picaflor House provides a stimulating and dynamic after school programme to the children of Oropesa and several small villages in the surrounding rural area.

Picaflor House was founded by Jim Elliott and Camila Ochoa. The organisation began working with 5 children two days a week at the local school in Oropesa. Over the past 3 years, Picaflor House has grown to provide a comprehensive after school program that provides homework help, reading comprehension and mathematics classes, English classes and a variety of non-academic activities such as arts, sports, music, traditional dance and chess.
